This was my first attempt at growing vegetables.

A Bumper Crop.
These were all grown Naturally, using mulches, seasol, compost and companion planting.
The hand weeding is always a chore but the knowledge that no chemicals or poison are on or in your food is well worth the effort.
In the background you can also see the abundant fruit from our fruit salad orchard.
We have cleared some of the trees (plums, peaches, nectarines and apricots) recently – as they were very much overgrown and we couldn’t give away the excess (which there was plenty of)…
We also wanted to make room for more Avocado Trees.
We still have Lemons, Oranges, Mandarins, Cherries, a Guava and Persimmon tree, along with a Macadamia nut tree and Almond Tree and our Avocado orchard.
All our trees were/are grown as naturally as possible, using the above described methods.
Although we are not certified as ‘Organic’ growers it is our intention to become so.
We have seen a definate increase in worms since we began ‘natural’ growing techniques, so again it is well worth the effort.
